A beautiful, newly renovated 17th Century venue

A striking timber framed Suffolk Barn that can accommodate within its 3 rooms events for anywhere between 10 and 400 guests. The barn is kept toasty with underfloor heating throughout, powered by a Co2 neutral wood-chip boiler that is fuelled with wood from the estate. The Barn has been fully renovated to provide exceptional hire facilities including commercial kitchens, with ample furniture to meet your event requirements.

Licensed and soundproofed, the Barn offers a Banqueting Hall, Medieval Hall and Minstrels’ Gallery (on the mezzanine floor) and parking for over 100 cars. A floor to ceiling window with large double doors fills the Banqueting Hall with light and provides views onto the south gardens and fields beyond. It is an ideal venue for meetings, drinks receptions, art exhibitions, concerts, private parties or barn weddings, and it will undoubtedly impress your guests.

If you need accommodation for your event, the Barn also offers two en-suite bedrooms (great for putting children to sleep nearby while the adults stay up to party). With a further ten bedrooms bookable at the Hall, accommodation for up to 24 guests is available allowing you to have, exclusively, the run of the historic Suffolk Estate.

The main entrance to the Barn is accessed via a stone paved courtyard and leads into the Medieval Hall. An open staircase to the right takes you up to the Minstrels’ Gallery, with a beamed banister overlooking the Hall below.

Double doors lead from the Medieval Hall through to the Banqueting Hall, which in turn has a door leading out to the gardens. Both rooms have been designed with their own external entrances to allow access to one or all of the spaces, depending on the requirements of the event. The Barn is fitted with Wifi, underfloor heating, dining furniture and a commercial kitchen, while the Minstrels’ gallery is comfortably furnished to provide a charming place to sit and view the party downstairs.

The revival of the Bruisyard barn has been supported by The Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), which is funded by DEFRA and the EU, with the support of the East of England Development Agency.
